Bernard Chan is an Investor at Race Capital. He joined the firm in October of 2022. Bernard conducts investment diligence and supports Race’s portfolio companies, focusing largely on AI/ML, Data infrastructure and developer tools.

Prior to Race, Bernard was the CTO and Co-founder of a Y-Combinator backed fintech startup tackling cross-border payments and commerce.

Bernard holds a B.Eng and MEng in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College London where he had a focus on computational modeling of drug delivery carriers.
